Our clients are scattered throughout the United States, but concentrated in Oklahoma and the lower Midwest. Our buyers, however, are global. We seek to find the optimal buyer for each seller client – no matter where they may be located. Many are in the lower Midwest, but a significant number are located in the Northeast, and we’ve completed deals with buyers from Taiwan, Italy, and The Netherlands.

Sell-Side Representation

Although our name says “Acquisition,” about 80 percent of our work is sell-side representation. We help owners sell quietly, professionally, and for absolute maximum. Our proven, propriety process guarantees it. 

Buy-Side Assistance

We join with buyer clients and their legal counsel to assist with valuation, negotiation, deal structuring, and consummation. We are here to help business buyers get smart deals done in an orderly, professional, and cost-efficient manner.

Business Valuation

Whether you want to know what a buyer might pay for your business (or ownership in one); what you should pay to acquire a business or equity interest; or need a formal valuation for tax, estate planning, or ESOP purposes, we deliver with skill and experience. We set ourselves apart from pure appraisers because we also do deals. 

Litigation Support

David Perkins has practical experience and formal education in the broader areas of investment, economics, business transactions, and valuation. He has experience supporting parties in litigation and has served as an expert witness and court-appointed receiver. David L Perkins | Acquisition Advisors

Managing Director

Mr. Perkins holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (psychology) from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Business Administration degree (accounting concentration) from the University of Notre Dame. He has completed post-graduate coursework in business valuation and business brokerage through the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) and the Institute of Business Appraisers (IBA). He completed the Mergers and Acquisitions executive education course at The Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania), and he’s a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA).Since 1997 Mr. Perkins has consulted full time on the purchase and sale of private companies. His firm, Acquisition Advisors, focuses on transactions valued between $10 million and $100 million. Perkins’ early career included commercial real estate brokerage, commercial banking, and a brief stint as the senior financial officer for a software company.


Duff Weddle | Acquisition Advisors

J. Duff Weddle

Director

Duff is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, (B.B.A.) and the University of Texas School of Law, (J.D.), and attended the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a licensed Attorney.Duff has over 20 years active experience in Mergers and Acquisitions, business and corporate development, as well as structuring strategic deals and alliances as a corporate lawyer. He has personally owned, bought and sold five companies, designing an exit plan that resulted in asset sales from $5 million to $90 million per company. He has worked as a professional on M&A transactions ranging from $10 million to $450 million and has been an advisor in startups and new ventures, raised equity capital, secured institutional funding and project financing. Duff’s industry experience spans manufacturing, distribution, energy, petrochemicals, engineering, staffing, construction and transportation.


Richard B. Weiss, ASA

Appraisal Services

Richard is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in Business Valuation through the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) and is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (finance and accounting). He’s conducted valuations of companies ranging from multinational conglomerates to small businesses in connection with mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, recapitalizations, ESOPs, gift and estate tax compliance, intangible asset valuations for purchase price allocation and goodwill impairment tests, employee stock option valuations for financial reporting compliance, and valuation for marital dissolutions. Industry experience spans manufacturing, wholesale/distribution, retail, banking, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, automotive, mining, electric utilities, petrochemical, chemical, information technology, software, insurance, engineering and architectural services, transportation, real estate, construction, health care, consulting and leisure.Previously, Mr. Weiss was a principal and group manager in the Financial Advisory Services department of Deloitte & Touche, LLP. He is a member of ESOP association, National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO), American Society of Appraisers and CFA Institute.
